Dead Air built the Sandman-S around a simple idea: make a .30 caliber rifle suppressor that works as a quick-detach (QD) system from day one, without paying extra for an adapter. The KeyMo mounting system — Dead Air's proprietary QD design — ships with every Sandman and is compatible with Dead Air's own muzzle devices. The Sandman-S (Short version) balances suppression performance with overall length.
The Sandman-S is rated for full-auto fire and has been tested with sustained belt-fed fire — a standard no aluminum suppressor can pass. The inconel and stainless steel construction adds weight but delivers a service life measured in hundreds of thousands of rounds. The dead-air baffle stack design creates excellent turbulent flow, delivering 30 dB of reduction on .308. Dead Air's KeyMo mount is arguably the most robust QD system on the market.
