Henry Repeating Arms has started shipping the H14 Long Ranger Big Woods Carbine, a .308 lever-action rifle developed with Big Woods Bucks for hunting whitetails in tight timber. The rifle was unveiled June 15, 2026, at a launch event at Frank's Gun Shop in Amsterdam, New York. Read the full announcement at Henry Repeating Arms's press release.
What Was Announced
The carbine is based on Henry's Long Ranger platform. Henry changed it for close-range woods hunting, where shots come quickly and the rifle needs to be up fast. Big Woods Bucks, a group of Northeast woodsmen known for traditional heavy-timber whitetail hunting, worked on the design.
