What It Means for Gun Owners
The lineup offers hunters multiple price points and action types within Savage's lightweight platform. The introduction of a straight-pull option in the Impulse Ultralite Pro provides an alternative to traditional bolt actions. The AccuFit V2 system and modular grip options allow buyers to customize fit without tools, which can appeal to shooters of different sizes. The Elite V2's sub-6-pound weight targets serious backcountry hunters, while the more affordable Predator and Pro models provide lighter alternatives to standard hunting rifles at lower price points.
Bottom Line
Savage is positioning the expanded Ultralite family as a range of options for different hunting styles and budgets, from predator hunting to long-range work, all built on lightweight construction principles.
