Springfield Armory has announced that its new-for-2025 SAINT Victor received a gold ranking from the National Tactical Officers Association's Member Tested and Recommended (MTR) program. The release is dated September 23, 2025.
What Was Announced
The SAINT Victor scored 4.5 out of a possible 5.00 in NTOA testing. Under the MTR scale, a score from 4.50 to 5.00 is the gold range; silver is 4.00 to 4.49 and standard is 3.00 to 3.99. Springfield says the full review is available to NTOA members in the group's MTR online database, not to the general public.
Key Details
- The redesigned SAINT Victor line includes 5.56mm rifles and pistols with 11.5", 14" and 16" barrels.
- The line also includes 7.62mm rifle variants with 16" and 20" barrels.
- Testing was carried out by a hand-selected group of law enforcement officers.
What It Means for Gun Owners
The NTOA review is the main independent data point in the release. One reviewer said the group fired about 1,500 rounds through the rifle while deliberately trying to induce a jam, misfeed or other failure, and reported none. A second officer reported hundreds of rounds with multiple ammunition brands and types and no failures to fire, extract or feed. Both accounts are the reviewers' own statements as quoted by Springfield, and the release does not include the specific ammunition, test protocol or failure criteria.
Bottom Line
The gold ranking is a strong third-party result for the SAINT Victor, but the release is a manufacturer announcement and most of the testing detail stays behind NTOA's member-only database. Buyers who want the full review will need NTOA membership to read it.
