The SuperNova is Benelli applying Italian engineering principles to the American pump shotgun. The rotating bolt — borrowed from the semi-automatic Nova — gives the SuperNova a lockup tighter than any standard dual-action-bar pump on the market. The receiver is molded into the stock as a single unit, eliminating the traditional two-piece design entirely.

The SuperNova Tactical, with its 18.5-inch barrel and pistol grip, is one of the most capable defensive pump shotguns available. The ComforTech recoil reduction system makes 3.5-inch magnum loads manageable — no other pump shotgun can say that. Law enforcement agencies that train extensively with shotguns appreciate the SuperNova's durability and the tight lockup's effect on pattern consistency.
